GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated by dividing the total quality points (grade points × credit hours) by the total credit hours attempted. Our calculator supports both 4.0 and 4.33 scales.
The 4.0 scale is the most common, where A = 4.0 is the highest grade. The 4.33 scale includes A+ = 4.33, allowing for recognition of exceptional performance.
Copy your data from Excel or Google Sheets with columns for Course Name, Credits, and Grade. Click the Paste button and paste your data into the dialog. The calculator will automatically parse and import your courses.
Typically, Pass/Fail courses don't affect your GPA - you earn credits but no grade points. However, policies vary by institution. Our calculator lets you configure this based on your school's policy.
Dean's List recognition typically requires a GPA of 3.5 or higher for a given semester, though requirements vary by institution. Some schools also require a minimum number of credits.
